COMMUNITY GRANTS


Service Providers: Transportation Funding Available! The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) announces the availability of $1.6 million of State Access for All funds through its Access for All grant program. Metro is soliciting proposals from eligible applicants for projects that increase the availability of on-demand wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) service in Los Angeles County. The Solicitation for Proposals provides detailed instructions for submittals, the reporting requirements, and the evaluation and award process. The Fiscal Year 2024 Solicitation for Proposals & Application Package can be found on the Access for All webpage (https://www.metro.net/about/access-for-all/). Applications are due by 5 PM on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Metro will host a potential applicant webinar on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 10 AM to 12 PM: REGISTER


State Council on Developmental Disabilities Grants: The California State Council on Developmental Disabilities (SCDD) and its regional offices administers grants to community-based organizations to fund new and innovative program development projects. Proposals must have statewide impact and relate to one or more of the following SCDD State Plan Goals: Self-Advocacy; Employment; Housing; Health and Safety; Early Intervention, Education, Transition & Post-Secondary Education; Formal & Informal Community Supports. CalHFA introduces ADU Grant Program offering up to $25,000 to help homeowners build more affordable housing options: Governor Gavin Newsom signed legislation to boost affordable housing supply and strengthen accountability measures. The California Housing Finance Agency is thrilled to introduce its new ADU Grant ProgramThe CalHFA  ADU Grant Program will provide as much as $25,000 in assistance to low- to moderate-income homeowners to build accessory dwelling units on their property. Increasing the production of ADUs, also referred to as granny flats, in-law suites or casitas, is one of the latest efforts to ease the affordable housing shortage in the state. ELARC LETTERS OF SUPPORT PROTOCOL

As workload demands allow, ELARC will provide letters of support/reference to entities/individuals with history of partnership and collaboration with ELARC who are seeking funding for projects in alignment with the mission and vision of ELARC.  Read the ELARC Letters of Support Protocol regarding required documents and whom to contact for the letter. 


ELARC REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

When funds are made available to the Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center (ELARC), we will implement the current policy and procedures to award grant funds for specified projects. The ELARC Board of Directors approved this policy on November 13, 2012. View the Board approved RFP policy.

ELARC has adopted and maintains a policy statement requiring the Board of Directors review and approval of any regional center contract of $250,000.00 or more, before entering into contract. View the ELARC Contract Approved Policy Statement.


Contractor and Grantee Compliance with Economic Sanctions Imposed in Response to Russia’s Actions in Ukraine

The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) issued correspondence to Regional Centers on April 12, 2022 regarding contractor and grantee compliance with economic sanctions imposed in response to Russia’s actions in Ukraine. Read the DDS correspondence here.

On March 4, 2022, Governor Gavin Newsom issued Executive Order N-6-22 (EO) regarding sanctions in response to Russian aggression in Ukraine. The EO is located at https://www.gov.ca.gov/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/3.4.22-RussiaUkraine-Executive-Order.pdf  The EO directs all agencies and departments that are subject to the Governor’s authority to take certain immediate steps, including notifying all contractors and grantees of their obligations to comply with existing economic sanctions imposed by the U.S. government in response to Russia's actions in Ukraine, as well as any sanctions imposed under state law. This correspondence serves as a notice under the EO that as a contractor or grantee, compliance with the economic sanctions imposed in response to Russia’s actions in Ukraine is required, including with respect to, but not limited to, the federal executive orders identified in the EO and the sanctions identified on the U.S. Department of the Treasury website : https://home.treasury.gov/policy-issues/office-of-foreign-assets-control-sanctions-programs-and-information/ukrainerussia-related-sanctions   Failure to comply may result in the termination of contracts or grants, as applicable.
