Social & Recreational
The Mission of the Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center, ELARC, is to create opportunities for consumers to have integrated life experiences and to promote community-oriented lifestyles. To this end, ELARC encourages consumers to engage in social and recreational activities within their local communities. Examples of these activities include sports, hobbies, leisure, education, clubs, fitness, and the arts. The programs providing such activities are designed to teach specific skills, but also enhance socialization skills, develop friendships and provide good, clean, fun!
