HCBS Compliance Funding Information Session

Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Compliance Funding is now available for Fiscal Year 2021-2022. Service provides can apply for HCBS Compliance Funding through their vendoring Regional Centers to help them transition toward compliance with the HCBS Final Rule. The HCBS Final Rule impacts a wide range of programs, services and supports for a significant amount of individuals with developmental disabilities. 

ELARC will review ALL HCBS Compliance Funding concept forms and will make recommendations for funding to DDS based on local priorities. ALL submitted forms will be forwarded to DDS for final approval. The deadline established by DDS for service providers to submit their completed concepts to ELARC is November 12, 2021.

DDS Information: HCBS Compliance Funding for Providers Fiscal Year 2021-2022

    In recognition that some service providers need to take steps towards modifying their services to come into compliance with the Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Final Rule by March 2023, the 2021 enacted budget contains $15 million to fund necessary changes. Below are the HCBS Provider Compliance Funding Guidelines shared by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) for Fiscal Year 2021-2022.

    DDS released information that outlines the process for regional center funded service providers to apply for funding to help in their transition toward compliance under the new Medicaid HCBS Final Rule that impacts a wide range of programs, services and supports for a significant amount of individuals with developmental disabilities.

    Service providers can apply for funds using forms provided by DDS through the Regional Centers. Regional centers can make recommendations for funding based on local priorities. All submitted forms will be forwarded to DDS for final approval. The deadline established by DDS for Providers to submit their completed concepts to ELARC is November 12, 2021.
