Summer Edition of the Emergency Preparedness Bulletin - Summer Weather: 

The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is excited to share this bulletin with information and preparation reminders for California’s summer weather, fire season, and water activities.  It is posted on the Emergency Preparedness Consumer and Vendor webpages.  

Preparing for the unexpected is the best defense against the challenges summer activities can bring.  Knowing what to do before an emergency occurs allows a quick response.  This bulletin is part of DDS’ ongoing effort to alert and educate individuals and direct service providers about specific risks to our community.  Do not be caught unprepared.  Plan today!

Safety Bulletin on the topic of Crime Prevention:

This bulletin addresses Safe Medication Management:

Safe and accurate medication management is an important component of care and supervision.  Medication errors are the second most frequent special incident reported to DDS.  This bulletin provides relevant health and safety information as part of DDS’ ongoing effort to improve our collective management of risks to the wellness of the individuals that we serve.
