2 Part Same-Day Workshop on Interacting With Law Enforcement and Mental Illness & Psychiatric Hospitalization.
Interacting With Law Enforcement: Focus on what is to be expected when law enforcement responds to a call or when communicating with police officers in the community. Trainer will discuss helpful information to provide officers, questions to be expected, and typical procedures practiced.
Mental Illness & Psychiatric Hospitalization: Highlights the difference between various mental illness diagnoses and developmental disabilities. Trainer will discuss the prevalence of mental illness within the developmentally disabled population and will provide an overview of common mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders.
This training will be provided via Zoom and the max capacity will be 30 attendees.
