Ever wonder how you could put more food on the table? CalFresh (also known as Food Stamps or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Pram-SNAP) may be able to help. CalFresh is a supplemental program that helps people buy food. Monthly benefits are provided on an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card that works just like a bank debit card to buy food at most grocery stores, markets and some farmer’s markets. In June 2019, CalFresh benefits opened its doors to Supplemental Security Income/State Supplementary Payment(SSI/SSP) recipients.
We are happy to announce Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) has partnered with Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center (ELARC) to assist individuals served by ELARC in applying/ enrolling in CalFresh. We encourage you to apply. Our next enrollment date is:
