ELARC is hosting Informational Sessions in 2018: ELARC has scheduled three sessions for early 2018 with more planned later in the year. Come learn about Self Determination and decide if you would like to submit your name for possible participation in the program when it begins.
The law requires that before the Self Determination program can be made available, the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) submit an application for federal funding, and that this application be approved for funding by the federal government. After an initial submission and subsequent review with the federal government, DDS will be resubmitting the application soon and hopes to obtain approval by the end of this calendar year. Once that application is approved, it will allow us to launch Self Determination in California.
